Beijing, May 28, 2025 — During today’s regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spokesperson Mao Ning announced a significant decision: China will implement a comprehensive visa-free policy for all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Policy Details:

From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, citizens of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain holding ordinary passports will enjoy visa-free entry to China. Nationals from these countries will not need a visa to travel to China for business, tourism, sightseeing, visiting relatives or friends, or exchange activities, with a stay of no more than 30 days. Together with the UAE and Qatar, which already had mutual visa exemption agreements with China since 2018, this policy now covers all GCC countries.
