Purpose:

Organic synthesis and coordination chemistry
Metal chelating agent
Synthesis of transition metal complexes
The β -dione structure (enol form) can form stable chelates with lanthanide elements (such as Eu³⁺, Tb³⁺) and transition metals (Cu²⁺, Pd²⁺), and is used for:

Fluorescent materials: Rare earth complexes may be used as luminescent materials (OLED, biomarker probes).

Catalyst: Such as catalyzing C-C coupling reactions or oxidation reactions.

(2) Fluorine-containing blocks
Introduction of trifluoromethyl:
As a fluorine-containing synthon, trifluoromethyl is introduced into the target molecule through hydrolysis or reduction reactions for fluorination modification of drugs or pesticides.
