Nature:

Colorless needle-like crystals. Insoluble in water and petroleum ether. It is flammable when exposed to open flame or high heat. Powder can form explosive mixtures with air. When it reaches a certain concentration, it will explode upon encountering a spark.

Main uses
Polymerization inhibitor (polymerization inhibitor)
Prevent premature polymerization of monomers:
TBC is a highly efficient polymerization inhibitor for olefin monomers such as styrene, acrylate, methacrylate and butadiene, preventing their self-polymerization during storage and transportation.

Common concentration: 10-1000 ppm (adjusted according to the activity of the monomer).

Extend the storage period of individual cells
In free radical polymerization reactions (such as the production of ABS, PS, rubber, etc.), the addition of TBC can inhibit the growth of free radical chains and prevent gelation or detonation during the production process.

2. Antioxidants
Protect substances prone to oxidation:
It is used for lubricating oil, fuel, grease, etc., to prevent oxidation and degradation and extend service life.

Polymer material stabilizer
Delay aging in rubber and plastics (such as PVC) and reduce degradation caused by ultraviolet rays or heat.

3. Medicine and Organic Synthesis
Intermediate: Used in the synthesis of drugs, fragrances or other fine chemicals.

Biological activity research: Some studies suggest that it may have antibacterial or antioxidant activity.
